Makoto Shinkai's Latest Anime 'Suzume' to Release in India on April 21
Indian anime enthusiasts will finally get to watch Makoto Shinkai's latest anime masterpiece, 'Suzume', on the big screen. The film, which tells the story of a 17-year-old high school student embarking on a magical adventure with a mysterious young man, is set to release in India on April 21, distributed by PVR Pictures.
The plot centers on the task of sealing inter-dimensional doors that could bring about the destruction of the world. 'Suzume' has already achieved great success in Japan, debuting at number one in the domestic box office and breaking several records.

Makoto Shinkai, the renowned Japanese animator and filmmaker, has created numerous successful anime films, including 'The Place Promised in Our Early Days' (2004), '5 Centimeters per Second' (2007), 'Children Who Chase Lost Voices' (2011), and 'The Garden of Words' (2013). Shinkai's 2016 fantasy romance, 'Your Name', became a global phenomenon, ranking as the third highest-grossing anime film of all time. His 2019 film, 'Weathering with You', was also a critical and commercial hit.
